EPCON
Eden Prairie, MN
This Eden Prairie
Convenience Center received a major exterior remodel. We
installed new railings landscaping, and used a highly engineered
Helica screw and shot-Crete system to hold the soils in place,
then we created two (2) tiers of retaining walls.

WELLS
FARGO PLAZA
Bloomington, MN
EXTERIOR
RENOVATIONS
The Wells Fargo Plaza (WFP) project was a $2.5 million renovation
of the first and second floor elevator lobbies and connecting
entry link, all completed while the building was occupied and
tenant accessibility maintained. The project also included
exterior canopy improvements, as well as the addition of
twenty-four, ten-foot stainless steel chevrons mounted at the top
of the building. The Bainey Group worked closely with the building
management and the Midwest Peregrine Society to install these
without disrupting the nesting pair of peregrine falcons that call
the top of WFP home. The LED lighting technology incorporated in
the chevrons adds a beautiful luminescent feature to the
Bloomington skyline.

ELEVATOR LOBBY
RENOVATIONS
While the old elevator lobbies had a dark, more confined feeling
to them, the newly remodeled lobbies have a bright, more open
feel. This was accomplished with the installation of anigre wood
paneling, Fiorito Rojo marble flooring and elevator columns, and
the use of art glass, bronze, and indirect lighting in the space.
Two floor openings were also created between the first and second
floor west elevator lobbies to give a sense of special recognition
for those entering the building. Major structural work was
accomplished in the first floor restaurant ceiling to create these
openings while still maintaining the grills and serving line.

|
ENTRY/COMMON
AREA RENOVATIONS
The most radical change occurred in the entry connecting link,
where the existing second floor was removed, and new structural
members were added to support a second floor walkway and the a new
and expanded two-story art glass curtain wall. A two-story marble
water feature was also added to this space making the area a
calming welcoming front entry environment. This work also opened
the area to make a wonderful space for the building to hold
special events, as the banding of the peregrine falcon chicks.
Quite a change from the old dark tunnel effect of the old entry.

GROVE
SHOPS - MAPLE GROVE MALL
Maple Grove, MN
The improvements at Grove Shops, involved updating a 1980’s
exterior façade, to a modernized façade, including new EIFS
system, prefinished metal paneling, aluminum and glass
storefronts, and down-lighting. In addition, the West end of the
building was converted from one large tenant space to three
smaller tenant spaces which now presents tenant’s storefronts and
signage to the city’s main infrastructure, rather than a
side-street. This project was completed in 8 weeks.

MAPLE
GROVE MEDICAL BUILDING
Maple Grove, MN
This unique two-story addition
replaced a portion of the existing single story-structure that has
been a landmark since Maple Grove was just a suburb of
Minneapolis. This project involved the construction of new
footings and new mechanical and electrical systems. The new design
required a combination of mansard roofing and flat roofing to help
ease the transition between the new and existing buildings along
with brick and EIFS exterior finishes.

TONIC OF UPTOWN
Minneapolis, MN
We tore the roof off - literally. Added
structural steel framing and put a new roof
on the building to support roof top dining.
Demolition of the entire interior of the
previously resided Lakeland Dental Academy.
Everything in the building, with the
exception of the four exterior walls, is new
including the electrical, mechanical and
fire systems. The exterior walls were
brought back to the original brick. There are four bars, two lounges, a dance
floor, full kitchen for upscale dining, banquet room,
decorative brickwork, catwalk
overlooking the main dining room and a 26-foot tall ceiling on the 2nd-floor. Along
with the rooftop dining with unobstructed views and an impressive
array of materials and finishes throughout, it is now one of the
hottest new restaurant/nightclubs in the city.
