AWARDED
PROJECT MANAGER OF THE YEAR
Chuck Bainey,
Sr. Project Manager and President of The Bainey Group Construction
Services was awarded the Minnesota Construction Association’s
(MCA) 2008 Project Manager of the Year Award.
The MCA recently added this award category to their Award of
Excellence program. Chuck is the first person to meet the award
criteria,
which included, having excellent communication skills, being fair,
responsive, and open-minded. Chuck continuously seeks
opportunities to increase customer satisfaction, deepen client
relationships, and minimize exposure to risk by effectively
representing the interests of every member of the construction
team. In addition, Chuck understands the importance of having a
vibrant safety program, and has been an outstanding member of The
Bainey Group’s safety committee for 3 years.
Chuck would like
to thank The Bainey Group’s clients, subcontractors, and employees
for their nominations, and the Minnesota Construction Association
for this award. |

BAINEY GROUP
AWARDED FOR THE FIRST PROJECT EVER
The Bainey
Group Construction Company
won an Award for the first project ever to receive the
LEED Innovation Credit by using the U.S.G.B.C.’S prescribed
percentage of Green Advantage® Certified Practitioners on a
project. Dave Freeman, Chairman of Green Advantage, flew in from
Chicago to present the award on October 30 during The Bainey
Group’s second Green Advantage Training Seminar that was held in
Medina. The Bainey Group currently has 10 team members
that are Green Advantage® Certified Practitioners.
Currently under
construction, among other projects, is Liberty Plaza a
“Class A” 120,000-square-foot, 4-story office building and parking
ramp that will be LEED certified (Leadership in Energy and
Environmental Design) located in Eden Prairie. Heggies Pizza, a 25,200 square-foot frozen pizza production facility located
in the Milaca Industrial Park, Mamac, a 36,000 square-foot
manufacturing facility in Chanhassen, Sounthdale Internal
Medicine 4,500 square-feet in Edina, and The GEM Group, 67,000+
square-feet located in Eden Prairie which will consist of office,
warehouse & photo studios.
In addition, The
Bainey Group recently completed New Reflections - Aveda Spa &
Salon’s fourth location in the Fountains at Arbor Lakes
shopping center in Maple Grove, Identix 59,000 square-feet
(Bloomington), Camp Bow Wow, which is an 11,260 square-foot
dog day camp & boarding facility in Plymouth, and 30,000
square-feet for Johnson Controls. |

BAINEY GROUP
COMPLETES LEED CERTIFIED BUILDING
The Bainey Group
Construction Company,
Plymouth,
has Seven Team members that are Green Advantage® Certified
Practitioners and have recently completed constructing Lake
Smetana Business Center for Liberty Property Trust, which is a
56,000 square foot LEED Certified building located in Eden
Prairie. Bainey is currently constructing the interior build-out
for Compellent Technologies Inc., whom will be occupying Lake
Smetana Business Center Building B’s entire 56,000 square feet.
Currently under
construction is Eagle Community Bank, a 4,000 square tenant
improvement located in Maple Grove, 13,000 square foot build-out
for Savers the largest thrift store chain’s newest location in
Bloomington and Advanced Duplication Services LLC, a CD/DVD
replication company located in Plymouth.
In addition, The
Bainey Group has recently completed Oakdale Office Condominiums
for Carlson Real Estate, which consisted of four 9,000 square foot
buildings located in Oakdale, a 20,000 square foot industrial
building expansion for JIT Powder Coating located in Farmington as
well as a major exterior renovation to the landmark shopping
center Country Village Mall located in Minnetonka. Rasmussen
College a 21,000 square foot tenant improvement located in Eden
Prairie, a 4,000 square foot interior build-out for Bridgewater
Bank II located in Greenwood; and Dugo, which stands for “Dress
Up, Go Out” the newest upscale clothing store located in Galleria
Mall, Edina.
